I've had an interest in photoghraphy from an early age. As with many of my demographic, I started out in the '60's with a Kodak Brownie film camera.  I graduated in the '70's to an Instamatic and in the '80's entered the SLR ranks with a Pentax. After a brief foray into underwater photography with a Nikonos II, I jumped into digital in the '90's with an Olympus point and shoot (< 1MP!!).  The '00's found me on the entry level Canon XS DSLR and by the '10's I had moved up to full frame with my current camera, a Canon 6D.  I now have a pretty comprehensive set of (mostly) Canon lenses and feel well "kitted out" for the foreseeable future.

I am not one to dwell on any one area of photography for too long but would rather dabble a little in many different genres.  I find that learning new techniques is very stimulating and motivating.

Photography is no longer simply a good subject, good light and good composition.  An increasing part of making a successful photograph is the post processing in the digital darkroom.  I enjoy this component as much as the field work and am constantly learning new techniques to achieve the best result from the RAW image file.
